ADNOC 3D Seismic Survey Project Abu Dhabi
In a significant development, China National Petroleum Company (CNPC) subsidiary, BGP Inc., has been awarded a substantial $490 million contract to expand the world’s largest combined 3D onshore and offshore seismic survey in Abu Dhabi. This project is a crucial step towards identifying additional oil and gas resources in ADNOC’s producing onshore fields.
The project aims to enhance oil and gas exploration and production in Abu Dhabi through advanced 3D seismic survey techniques and artificial intelligence-driven data analysis. Covering 85,000 square kilometres of onshore and offshore areas, this largest-in-the-world survey will provide valuable insights into existing fields and potential new resources. Over 70% of the contract value will flow back into the UAE economy through ADNOC’s In-Country Value (ICV) program, supporting local job creation and economic growth, with key stakeholders including ADNOC, BGP Inc., and the UAE Government.
